Jason Essary Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 I feel bad for the heartland tourny boys. The name says it all, they got to have a lot of heart to fish all weekend. High winds, cold front, 40 degrees at take off......wow. wish I could go to the weigh-in. If anyone gets info on the weights, areas, and baits please post some for us. Members BILLYBASSSHACK Posted April 12, 2008 Members Posted April 12, 2008 When and Where are the weigh in for the buddy and elite?
techo Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 The weigh in was Ahoy's. Big bass was 6.98 pounds. Top weight was 23.13, 2nd was 21.40, and 3rd was 20.82 (best I remember). You almost had to have 16 pounds to earn cash! Looked cold and windy! Spinner bait seemed to be the bait for the day. No surprise there I guess. Saw Babbler down there. It is always a pleasure to bump into him. Beck placed in the cash too. Tim Carpenter
motoman Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Yikes! I felt bad for the Heartland guys initially too. But after those weights, looks like the nasty weather was worth the beating.
