Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 13, 2008 Root Admin Share Posted April 13, 2008 Robbed this off of 1branson.com's forum. It's, oh, I can't remember his screen name but you all know him!! I'm terrible with real names, let alone forum names. Took yesterday, 4/11. Isn't this the place you always wanted to make just one drift?

Members tinner
Call me dumb, but are those guys fishing a ditch?
Leonard
I can offically say I have fished it... Rule is: You can only fish the outlet at water level. Even though it is maked NO FISHING. My understanding (hearsay)... MDC, a few local (un-named) and the Hatchery say so also.. You can fish that area as long as its water level... http://www.taneycomonights.com
Thom
Leonard: Does that mean if the water gets up to the hatchery pools we can fish in them also? How can a sign say no fishing and fishing be allowed? I would bet if the game warden saw them they would be cited and not have a leg to stand on. Technically the ditch is not at the same level as the river or it would not be flowing into it. Kind of like fishing in a bathtub or a bass pro kiddie pool on saturdays. What kind of sport is that. I would like to see one of them shuffle in that ditch though. Thom Harvengt
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 13, 2008 Author Root Admin Share Posted April 13, 2008 In my humble opinion they are fishing above the lake level- just like the stream above outlet 3 is above the lake level. But I doubt if an agent is going to say much...
Thom
With all that is going on right now I think there might be bigger fish to fry anyhow. No pun intended. Thom Harvengt
Leonard
the other day when I went down there. there was 3 guys standing there fishing.. I did grab my rod and dropped in a jig.. caught 1 in about 15 minutes and stopped. the fish I did see in there were no biggerr the 12-14inchers.. and very few (maybe 8-12 total).. yes you could probably stand there all day and catch one right after ther other.. but its probably the same fish.. I didnt see any fish in there over 16in.. I figure they would stack in there but there was NONE.. Leonard http://www.taneycomonights.com
jdavis
Considering the reduced fishing pressure lately, I don't think this is a big problem to worry about. They are doing a lot less damage than the regular outlet crowd you see every weekend.
Members pinecone
Phil, For a perspective, what's the water look like at the old KOA lower campground? Is the pancake house now downtown? Jerry
