I have been reading that many of the guys are using chartruse blades. Is it possible to heat a blade up and use powder paint to dye it the color. Or is the water clearing enough that it is not necessary and gold or silver will work.

Right now, I really don't think it matters, unless you are really fishing some muddy stuff like up the Kings. It is all clearing fast. Last night I had great success on a chrome willow and a small colorado in the Baxter area.

In the really muddy stuff, I would have probably thrown a chartruse skirt with a copper or a chartruse blade. Most of the muddy stuff will be gone by either mid-week or next weekend, if it dosen't rain.
