Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 26, 2008 Root Admin Posted April 26, 2008 Word is that the flood gates will be shut down tonight sometime. Table Rock crested this morning at 5 am at 931.95 ft. The generators will remain open similar to what they were running prior to the gates.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 27, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted April 27, 2008 They lied to us again. Still Running as I type. Same level. I don't repeat rumors but what I hear the Corp say on the radio. They also said they are going to TRY to drop Table Rock 8 feet by Memorial Day... where are they going to send the water? Here it come Arkansas!! I'll believe that one when I see it. For the businesses on TR it would be a great thing.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 27, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted April 27, 2008 Man- I'm not going to post anymore of the Corps reports... I think the only thing you can count on is that they are going to be wrong. They are still running 28k cfs.

They are still running 28k cfs. Phil, Quite sure there are many of us who would greatly appreciate it if you would keep posting those Corp reports especially during this high water period. Understand your frustration but any information those of us who aren't on the scene can get is very interesting and we are grateful for the time you spend on updating us all. Sounds like the COE makes predictions like the weather forecasters and are only right part of the time which is because they too are dealing with Mother Nature and are now in reaction mode and can't really plan ahead. Thanks much.
DoveTail Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Prior to the high levels, I would check their website for predictions of generation and those were never accurate. I have heard the horn blow and the water never comes. No telling?
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 28, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted April 28, 2008 I've heard they will shut the gates when TR's level reaches 931. It's 931.22. http://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/WCDS/Repo...ata/Tabrock.htm If they do shut it down at 931 I'd think it would shoot back up. My head hurts.

At this time, the Corps probably has no idea what they are really going to do. It is very understandable!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 28, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted April 28, 2008 Yea- I know. I'm sure they're pulling their hair out and can't make anyone happy. As of 1 pm they have TR down to 930.89 but if they shut it back to just generators I'd think it would shoot back up over 931. It's amazing how much rain the area got- what- 4-5 days ago and they're still moving it thru.
