Members D.T. Posted May 8, 2008 Members Posted May 8, 2008 I saw in a earlier post that the corp was going to drop Tablerock 8 feet by Memorial Day. Is there still any talk about that? I know one can never count on them doing what they say. Thanks, Dave
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 8, 2008 Root Admin Posted May 8, 2008 Don't know. Sorry- it's all speculation. We've heard lots of rumors and even "official" reports and seen just the opposite. As far as flow on Taney, and I assume you're referring to the level of Taneycomo since you posted this on Taneycomo forum, I don't see any change in this flow for at least 4-6 weeks- more if it keeps raining.

Phil - How's last nites rain going to affect TRL and as a a result Taney??? Stupidity Should Hurt
Bill Babler Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Add up the total days to the Holidays and I don't believe it would be possible for them to get it there even if they reopened the flood gates. They seem to not even be running 4 turbins all the time. When I got on the Lake at 6:30 they were running two. About 9;30 they kicked on the other two. I would think a more realistic drop would be around 4 to 5 ft. in the next 20 days. I don't really even think that would be possible. We'll See. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Members jtwest Posted May 17, 2008 Members Posted May 17, 2008 You'll just have to watch the levels along with the rest of us... I don't know. I have no idea how accurate this is, but I was visiting with a fellow last night and his comments were that they were not going to rapidly drop Table Rock because they'd lose the Bass spawn. Again, I'm sure there's folks on here a lot more in the know than I am and maybe they can check with their local bass buddies to see if there's any truth to that.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 17, 2008 Root Admin Posted May 17, 2008 No truth. The Corp and SPA do NOT care about fish or lake recreation. It's a nice thought but not true. There's still no room for the water in Beaver, Table Rock or Bull Shoals. When there is room (the Mississippi River Valley), hold on to your hats... they will drop the lakes as fast as they can, at least down to "safe" levels. Then they'll be back to power demand.
