Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted June 20, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted June 20, 2008 Maps above now have pdf links at the bottom of each map. This will make it easier to print maps.
Dawgsquat Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Great job. Printed......thanks. It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
On The Fly 6 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I didnt find Zone 3 for some reason. Do I have to drive to get there, or can I walk from Zone 2? timsfly Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Zone 3 is right at the end of zone 2, so yes you can walk there or drive. There are two roads that take you into zone 3 or you can get there by parking at the old broken down dam, this divides zones 3 and zone 2. Not sure which map it is on I think it is #4 but it could be #5, but I belive the dam is marked on the map. txspecks04 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Are there areas on RR where your flies must have barbless hooks (similar to the setup in the trophy area below Beaver Dam)?
timsfly Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 No, barbless hooks are not required, but I would reccomend them, eaiser on the fish, and eaiser on me when I hook myself. Makes releasing a fish a lot quicker. Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
Gallagher Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Gosh, is it me or is all this all too confusing? "You can fish from this zone to that zone, you can't wade in this particular section, wait,... you CAN wade in this section but only down here, no wading in this zone but you can fish from the bank, but you can't fish from the other side of the band, C&R begins from the second Friday in Nov, you can only fish Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon from 8:00am 'till 4:00pm but it states that that is at Bennett rather than Roaring River (which is the header on the regs)I assume this is at all the trout parks then ? I have my lic, I have my trout tag, now I need a "daily" trout stamp also? Trying to figure out just what the trout are feeding on during different times of the year & conditions, now trying to decipher this information is getting to be a bit much. Don't get me wrong, a good job has been done on the maps, as well as the information offered, but if reading this too much, it soon becomes overwhelming. I'm going to go back & read this thread over and try to figure out & concentrate on STAYING IN ZONE 1. Carry out what you carry in...
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 14, 2011 Author Root Admin Posted November 14, 2011 If we figure out a way to POST it on OA and make it so simple anyone can understand it, I'm all for it!! May work with Tim on it in the next few weeks. No- I know you don't need a daily stamp during catch and release season. Only a MO Trout Stamp.
