Members HeavyC Posted July 21, 2008 Members Posted July 21, 2008 This is some awesome stuff guys! Thanks for sharing it! HC Out! flyfshn Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 NICE PICS Michael! What type of reel is that on the rod in the first pic above? Fish On! Mike Utt “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. fly2fish Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 The third pic from the bottom looks like outlet 2 at Taney except the flyfishermen have been replaced by the bears, maybe thats what we need by the outlets to thin out the crowds now that would be real combat fishing. Keep the pics coming the only thing we have to look forward to is the fall brown run unless they decide to shut down the water a couple nights a week before then. HC

Terry Beeson Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 ...so I did not shower until we left. .. Hey Phil, how much is Glade, Oust, and Lysol air cleaner in Alaska? Thank goodness you did before you came back... I bet Kristina is glad, too... It is an Abel Super 2 with the Anodized Cutthroat Pattern A-VAILABLE at... BACKCOUNTRY OUTFITTERS!!! For all your fly fishing needs.... (Insert tons of indiscriminate disclaiming lawyer talk here...) WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT..... WAIT just a DOGGONE minute.... I just took a good look at the pictures in this thread... There is food on the table and Michael is just STANDING AROUND... There are bears crossing the road, the rest of the crew is on the ground watching them while MICHAEL IS IN THE PICKUP ON TOP OF THE CAB taking pictures... Michael has a bent rod in his hand, but it oddly enough looks exactly like DUCKYDOTY'S fly rod..... And God help us all if that's Michael in the PILOT'S SEAT!!!!!! [ I guess that is the Signature Series as well since it has Michael's signature on it, he really needs to focus that in a little better so you don't have to zoom in to read it. And if you hurry you can still hit the 50-75% off sale before he gets back.

Micheal Kyle Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Well it is a funny story we had no net when we landed both of our big fish, so he went in for mine and I did the same for him, But the guy that took my photo has not made it home yet to send me a copy. He told Duane and myself that he had never seen anything like that. The water is cold and so was the air temperature that day, enough that it would take your breath away.but what else you going to with your BFF's fish just let him break it off. I'm for sure how many people actually would want to go swimming in Alaska, well I might know of one and he did go swimming on purpose and that was James Johnson. Oh to be 15 and 10 feet tall and bullet proof what would we do if we could go back in time. On to the reel Abel will do anything to the reel that you want they are a very cool looking reel. They have about 30 fish patterns and about 20 funky colors that they will do. To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
