Bman Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Oh, and I used to super glue fish food on my hook to catch my fish. Works great. Wow,never heard that one before...hmmm super glue on a hook, wonder if the fish will stick to it. The only good line is a tight line
flyfishmaster Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Bman, Sorry, this is the first on the forum since July 3rd. As I was read the threads (laughing a lot to myself), I was waiting for you to do it and you did it. Now I'm all fired up. I think we have now have brought this to a head and got to square off and throw down the gloves I think we might have to have a "Dough Bait" fish-off down at MSSP in the up coming months. You bring your sissy little "Bossco bait" and I'll bring my crappy smelling doughy stuff. We can Fly fishing at your lesure in the morning, but when the sun hits high noon... GAME ON!!! So are you up for it? Later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!
trizkid Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 i have had great success at meramec springs with this bait................ciclid fish pellets from the pet store grind them to a dust almost add some flour and water, maybe garlic or you could use corn juice instead of water....mix it untill you get the right consistency ......works better than any dough bait iv tried..i havent used dough yet this season but it worked great last year bman whats the recipe for the bossco bait?? TrIzzout
Seth Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 We used to make some homemade bait that felt like Playdo and had a strong garlic smell, but haven't made it in a few years so I can't remember what is like. Honestly though, I've had my best luck on yellow Powerbait down there the past couple years. I don't know what the deal is with that color, but I can almost always bet it will catch a few fish.

So are you up for it? Later, FFM You mean like a no holds barred, gloves off cage match in the octagon, high noon, spurs jingle jangling, on the dusty street in front of the saloon? If we are gonna fly fish it will have to be before, not after fishing with that stinky stuff. I'm not touching a fly rod after that stuff. Using Bossco Bait is really unfair to the fish, and borderline unethical especially since I know all 7 formulas. Seriously, I'm always up for fishing. Competitive fishing? My motto is I compete with myself, not others, Fishing and catching I do for the pure joy of it. And a love of the outdoors. For the rest of you actually reading this garbage, Bossco Bait is nothing more than colored dough bait. The real secret is in the method used, the presentation, the drag free drift, finding active fish, using light line, changing colors frequently as well as the size of the jig hook used. tight lines to you, Bruce The only good line is a tight line
