laker67 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I saw a post on another web site out of Arkansas. ACOE is predicting power pool levels on Beaver & Bull Shoals to happen on November 17. Since Tablerock is between the two, I'm guessing it will be the same. Predictions were based on 24/7 generation at the current rates.
mosouthpaw Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 with current discharge rate of about one foot in about three days. In appx 7-8 ft roughly 20-24 days with current projections would be my guess to bring TR to top of Power Pool.
Wayne SW/MO Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 They are guesstimates, they have no idea when it will rain or how much. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
OKFlyFisher44 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 So...they're going to be generating water come fall when the big browns return to Upper Taney?? Am I the only one interpreting this info this way? If thats true....that sucks! No sight fishing for big browns....the thought almost brings a tear to my eye Chance ...I'm haunted in my dreams of waters I have yet to fish and trout I have yet to catch... Chasing the Dream...
taxidermist Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Just think of the following reproduction, the fish size to come. The lakes and rivers needed this rain for fish reproduction and food.
mosouthpaw Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 cold water from releases and a brown trout spawn is a good thing for the fishery. Now if only we could raise the DO during that time.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 30, 2008 Root Admin Posted July 30, 2008 John- there no reproduction going on in Taney but you're right on the food part.
