jjtroutbum Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 As bad as St. Louis and Missouri politics is. I still for the life of me can't understand the Chicago political machine and the idiots that keep voting in there ilk. denjac Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 If McCain is smart he would pick up Huckabee for VP. It would be a slam dunk then. Not so sure I won't write in Huckabee for Pres. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. For a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." ~ Winston Churchill ~
jdmidwest Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I agree, Huckabee would be the better choice. He was here locally at a fundraiser last weekend, great guy, would have made a great Pres. His values and positions are better than the other 2. But his fate was sealed before our primary. The machine made the choice long before it came to a popular vote. Looking forward to a fiasco at the Dem convention when Billary gets her moment in the sun before Nobama. Should be good for a laugh. Trav, they are really dead horses too, nothing new there.................... "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
zsmith62 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 This being my first time voting, I really wish I had better canditdates to choose from.... I too would have Huckabee on the ticket, there's a good chance I may write in Huckabee as well. Zach Smith
Bman Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 A write in, in my opinion is a waste. Just like a vote for the guy you don't want to win. The only good line is a tight line
soggyfeet Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 In todays endless information age a write in vote could work if the right peple organized it. Before getting everyone on the same page was diffacult but today it could possably happen. The problem is getting the electorial college to recognize it. And Zack you need to just get use to the canadates not being up to your sdandards. The media almost always pushes for the wrong pres. (I think because they will always have news stories) and the one that would more than likely do the best job they tear apart. Brian
