fishinSWMO
I took a short float down shoal creek this afternoon. Caught quite a few smallmouth, some largemouth and a few goggle eye. Jigs and crankbaits were working, so thats what I used. Nothing real big, just a lot of fun pulling in fish. I saw a few deer and an owl along the way but couldn't get the camera out quick enough. Chief Grey Bear
Yep, looks like you had a great time. Some evening we should all meet down at Allen Bridge and do a little fishing. Members CDC
Looks like some good fishing. What section did you float? Creek Wader, if I am not mistaken Allen Bridge is right off of highway 60. You should be able to do a search on google for MDC Allen Bridge (since it is a MDC maintained public access) and get pretty good directions. Buzz
Looks like a good float. The fish are biting good right now. Thanks for the pics. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

ollie
You guys look like your catching some decent fish on Shoal. That's ok, I'll let you all catch them. I don't like Shoal for fishing. Chief Grey Bear
Creekwader - Allen Bridge access is located on Knighhawk Rd. It is just up stream a couple of miles or so from the Lime Kiln MDC access located on Lime Kiln Rd. Boath of these are just north of Bus. 60 Hwy. And just up stream from Allen Bridge is the MDC Cherry Corner access. Ollie - Thanks for letting us have Shoal all to ourselves. For anyone interested lets look at maybe a Wed evening trip. Nothing big, just float around Allen Bridge down to the first riffle and back. Should only be like a couple of hours. Sign in on the sign up sheet.
