Chief Grey Bear
At lest she has been a leader she has Executive experience. Obama has nothing "Just words" When you compare experience and time on the job. What Executive experience does McCain have? He is the one running for President. Chief Grey Bear
Everything else I heard last night was "conservative change." Very encouraging talk after a congress that has done nothing for the American People since elected to the majority (incluing gas price their biggest promise) with approval rating worse than a president (who has been bashed 24-7 for eight years by that very "left wing media") If "everything" you "heard last night was conservative change" than you weren't listening very close. It was the same old Speech of Fear and Smear that the republicans now use to scare you into voting for them. Looks like it is working on a few here. Last I check the price of gas and the cost of a barrel of oil has dropped. And it never did reach a price as high as predicted by those in the bussiness. President Carter and President Clinton are still getting bashed. Quit crying about it. jjtroutbum
What Executive experience does McCain have? He is the one running for President. I will gladly concede that Sara has more executive experience than any of the other three. However Sen. McCain has at least voted consistently yay or nay unlike present. like the Jr. Senator Obama seems to do. Chief Grey Bear
And as well I will give you that one. But with his voting, he voted for at least 90% of what Bush wanted. Basically a rubber stamp. So where is the change? The only change I can see will be the name on the door. Buzz
I also watched the speech by Palin last night. I thought the remark about the pit bull was humorous. I also think that all of the tough talk opened her up for a real debate with Biden. She had better bring it to the debate. Biden is a very good debater and has done a great job in the senate( IMO). Biden has no reason now to take it easy on her now. As far as there being far more Republicans than Democrats on this thread, you may be right, but we just may not feel like getting bashed. My thanks go out to all of you (both sides) who have written the truth, and not the same rhetoric that we always seem to hear. I personally know B S when I hear it. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Al Agnew
Bigredbirdfan, about a flat tax... I have no problem with it. I'm not a big fan of our present tax system. It would be interesting to see what kind of percentage the flat tax would be to make it revenue neutral. However, personally I'd prefer a national sales and consumption tax. soggyfeet
Why is it that so many democrates or so full of hate? I see it and hear it every day. They dont want to do anything but protest and make a seen. Im not saying all or even the magority but it seems that you see this type more from the dems than anyone else. My guess is that these are the people that think this country owes them something. Brian
zsmith62
When Palin made her speech last night, there was such a long pause for applause that the teleprompter actually kept going. By the time she was able to speak again, the teleprompter was so far ahead that she had to keep going by memory, only having to glance at her notes on a few occaisions. Despite the fact that the entire speech was not her writing, she did not skip a beat and made the performance hers. I doubt too many people with "questionable experience" could pull that off. Very professional, and speaks volumes about her resilience and nerve. Zach Smith

Chief Grey Bear
Yes it was a great speech Trav. It sounded just like a speech I heard last week by another candidate running for president. I also liked the Tom Ridge speech. It was a real speech about the man they want to lead. It was far and above the fifth grade bash session the night before.
