Chief Grey Bear Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Why is it that so many democrates or so full of hate? I see it and hear it every day. They dont want to do anything but protest and make a seen. Im not saying all or even the magority but it seems that you see this type more from the dems than anyone else. My guess is that these are the people that think this country owes them something. It is not hate. It is the same old tired comments and snips that are baseless and fact less that come those that seem to look down upon a proud, hard working, gun toting, God fearing, group of blue blooded people that love American and also gladly put their lives in harms way to protect her. As I am sure you have seen in just this thread many accusations, half truths, and fact less barbs have been tossed by some that are in no question a part of the republican party. Yet when the fact is posted that debunks what they are saying, there is silence on that subject. But then we also have a couple here that apparently don't read the correct information that we take the time to research and post, and just keep spouting the misinformation. I guess to further spread the smear and fear. jdmidwest Posted September 5, 2008 Author Posted September 5, 2008 Smear and fear? What is wrong with the country today under the Bush Administration? We still have a low unemployment rate. The economy has slowed because of the election and higher fuel prices but we have used less and prices are going down. The dollar is improving. We still have plenty of safe food to eat. We can still go to sleep at night without fear of attack from terrorists. Crime rates are down. Tax rates have been cut at my pay grade. The Democratic party wants to change that? bigredbirdfan Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 If "everything" you "heard last night was conservative change" than you weren't listening very close. It was the same old Speech of Fear and Smear that the republicans now use to scare you into voting for them. Looks like it is working on a few here. Last I check the price of gas and the cost of a barrel of oil has dropped. And it never did reach a price as high as predicted by those in the bussiness. President Carter and President Clinton are still getting bashed. Quit crying about it. Your party promised to do something about gas prices. Yes they went down after the threat of drilling was brought up. What bills has Congress passed to help with gas price?????? Carter and B J Clintion, please.
hank franklin Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Awesome speeches by Mr. McCain and Mr. Ridge. Sophomoric crap from Ms. Palin. I've always liked John McCain and would like to vote for him. He's complicated the issue considerably with Gov. Palin however. She has a lot of work to do. McCain at the top, with Obama his running mate. I'd take that deal.

The Democratic party wants to change that? Better take another look at those unemployment numbers; they shot up unexpectedly this morning. Seriously. The dollar is improving? Why? Because it was at record lows. We went from a budget surplus to having the largest deficit in our nations history with most of that money owed to China. Mortgate foreclosures and delinquencies have risen to a 29 year high. We have plenty of safe food to eat? I guess that is technically correct however we have experienced widespread outbreaks of food contamination and experienced failures at the FDA analagous to the FEMA failures during Katrina. Even our pets took a hit with poison from China. Congratulations on the tax cuts though.
bigredbirdfan Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 All the good national liberals like Boxer, Fienstien and all the feminists are so stupid that they don't realize the votes they are sending to McCain/Palin with every interview or press release. Every time they attack her another Clinton voter comes our way . Keep up cutting your own throat democrat party. At this point they are in full panic mode , hateful lashing and digging with all shovels to find dirt on Palin because their playbook included everyone but her .
bigredbirdfan Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Sophomoric crap from Ms. Palin. She has a lot of work to do. The speech went over well with 40 million tuning in only 2 million less than Obama's speech and his was aired on 4 additional minority channels that didn't carry her speech. From the interest in her and the reviews from her speech not sure Mrs. Palin needs to do a thing except keep up the conservative message.
Wayne SW/MO Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 We're in a free economy tied to the free industrial nations. We're not as bad off as the Brits or many Europeans, its a global slowdown fueled by oil money going into piggy banks. If a party says they can eliminate the slowdown and prevent future flucuations, then socialism is the only sure way to accomplish that. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

If you are using fuel prices to determine we are not as bad off as the Brits or Europeans then I agree, although our prices have risen more than theirs by percentage. Not sure other comparisons would validate your assessment. Do you consider subsidies as socialism?
Guest kevinkirk Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Mywife is a doc and if you want to go to the same system as canada or england you are nuts. She had patient here who was on 9 month waiting list for an MRI. I had to have one and got it in 2 hours. But will weed out a lot of folks for sure and help with jobs shortages etc. All the 55 and older guys who have stints and bypasses wont make it and those jobs will be available to the younger folks. All my friends would be long gone by now. k
