Members Tyler
I have 2007 19' Tracker Pro Team 190TX Aluminum boat and i am going to upgrade my batteries and trolling motor. For batteries i am going with Interstate and i would like the trolling motor to be around 70lb thrust. The stock Motorguide works great but not enough kick for my likes. Its durable, and been through hell and never broke on me. But i need something more. I am wanting to convert it over to 24v so anyone with some information on doing so it would be greatly appreciated. Dutch
For a straight 24v all you will need is 2 wires. The ones in the boat may not be large enough. They need to be 6 or 8 g. Then you will need a jumper between the batteries to make 24v. When you get your trolling motor batteries be sure to get the largest RESERVE AMP capacity you can afford 200 reserve amps are great in a 27 series battery. 70 # thrust will be a great motor for that boat. Members Tyler
Dutch thanks for the input. Yeah 70lbs should be great. Do you have any preference on brand and or series? There are so many to choose from and so far i have been looking at the Motorguide Pro Series 360 Gator Mount and the Non-Pro Series.
