jdmidwest Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 How much rain did you get over there. The gauge here only measured 1/2 " but it has a hard time with sideways rain. We had wind gusts to 66 mph. but no flooding. Trees damaged and power out, schools closed today for no power. MOBass Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Ouch. Glad I went to work today instead of playing hooky and going fishing.
back2roots Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Here by Forsyth, my rain guage showed just under 3.5 inches. We lost power about 4:00 am Sunday and got it back just about 4:30 pm. Could've been MUCH worse! Bill If you liked the sound....Thank the engineer!
fly2fish Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 After fishing Saturday night below TR (quit before the wind hit luckily) I went to Rockaway and Forsyth Sunday and a lot of trees down over the roads, creeks out there banks and a lot of muddy water rolling in. Went to Powersite and about 4 feet of water going over the top so I assume the boards are gone again. HC

Trav Posted September 15, 2008 Author Posted September 15, 2008 Those boys at Rockaway wasted no time in retreiving their dock. Watched them push it back in place this after noon. The guy with the missing boat was out their in it, helping out. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
