jdmidwest Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 I forgot about msconfig still being on XP. It may work, although the last one to hit the office would not let go till I went to Safe Mode and killed the process. Start, run, type msconfig in the box. strangercreek Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Look up a download called "malwarebytes". I have used this to get rid of many stubborn bugs lately. If you google it, then you should be able to find a free download. It works very well. Download and run ccleaner first. This gets rid of all your temp internet files, history, and cookies, therefore the virus/spyware software doesn't have to take the time to scan those files (they are many times the source of the infection anyway)
