I thought Palin handled herself well last night and was nothing like the rambling wreck she portrayed during the recent Couric interviews. It looked to me like she was well coached and stuck to her talking points. I also thought she stuck so close to her talking points and strengths during some questions that she would go back to them instead of giving specific solutions to the questions.

In my opinion, Biden presented facts and solutions to some of the substantitive issues whereas Palin presented the fact that she and McCain are reformers and Mavericks. I also thought it was interesting when the question was asked about the VP's responsibilities. Palin went right along with Cheney's philosophies about the Senate but Biden said it's not the VP's responsibility to influence the Senate only to vote in the case of a tie.

I thought it was funny how Palin said Obama and Biden are looking back at the previous administration and not forward. But then, I didn't hear Palin present any different policy positions than the previous administrations'. How am I to assume they are going to be any different if the policy positions are the same or similar?

Actually, I would vote for Palin if she would have chanelled Marge "Son of a" Gunderson from Fargo last night and used the word, "malfesense" or any of the phrases like, "Oh, for Pete's sake", "Oh, Yahh" or "You betcha".

What the Bradley effect?

Bradley effect is term used about voting opinion polls and election results. In this instance it was the effect of such high poll numbers in support of the candidate, then the candidate actually loses. THe effect term i used was probably racial then i intended it to be. I personally view the effect as a simple gross misrepresentation of polling results according to the election results. Many refer to this effect purely as a racial thing, whereas my intentions was simply a misrepresentation of polling results vs the outcome.

The actually bradley effect was based on the Governors Race in California where Tom Bradley. Im unaware of a term that could describe the situtation w/o implicating race as a factor, but mearly the polling numbers are so skewed that dont support the outcome. Generally the populous says something to go along with the general concensous of a wide number of people but behind polling booth doors vote another way.

Hey Taxi

I thought that when Sarah was asked about the cause of the financial crisis, she could have used that to go into the history of subprime lending and really done a service to the country by taking some time to explain the mess.

She also could have mentioned that Mcain and Bush called for reform as earily as 2003, but were prevented from doing anything by Barny Frank and Chris Dowd.

Instead, she said "It is the fault of the lenders"

I guess that that is the simplistic answer that the people who the Rebublicans are trying to court for votes want to hear, but I was very disappointed.

Overall I thought that she did a good job, and that the moderator was also fair and did a good job.

Twosets had she told about the loans ordered under Clinton and the rest of the subprime crap she would ahve cleaned his clock.

I like the fact her aswers are not lawereaze.

Biden was wrong on the article that outlines VP duties. Hell he wants the job and dont know that?
