Whack'emGood Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Just curious about fishing near the dam the week after the Stren Tourney. I guess the boats will not have enouight time to get too far up stream so they will concentrate in the area of point 1 and 5? Alot of those guys will run 25 miles or more from the take-off to fish. When you can run 65+ mph, that is no problem at all. A half hour run is not out of the question when you have a 7 or 8 hour tournament. Those guys will spread out into every arm of the lake. Each boater will fish whatever part of the lake he knows the best and/or has received the best information (from locals and reports and such) on. Yeah, the weather looks like it may be iffy for the next couple of weeks... of course, it could change with no notice too... this is the Ozarks, you know. Whack'em "Success builds confidence, and you have to learn to trust your instincts and forget about fishing the way a tournament is supposed to be won. I'm going to fish my style and make it work for me." -KEVIN VANDAM "Confidence is the best lure in your tackle box." -GERALD SWINDLE "A-Rig? Thanks, but no thanks. If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)

motoman Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 hey motoman, 1st off sorry for the delay in response 2nd, yes some silver buddy's and also some spinners. good luck - No problem on the delayed response, we're all busy; I know how it is. - I'm trying to learn as much as I can about blade baits here recently, and am starting to gain some confidence with them. So I was just double checking if that's what you meant! - Thanks again.
