Has anyone heard about the type or size of boats that Premiere is planning on putting on Taneycomo?

Branson Landing Soft Opening Update

By Greg Brock March 16, 2006

One Branson alderman was vocal this week about his fear that people will think Branson Landing is failing when the soft opening is held May 26th and there's empty storefronts sitting there.

Alderman Dick Gass wanted to know what was going on... with only about 50 stores set to be open on that day. Branson Landing is to have 450-thousand square feet of retail space.... Rick Huffman of HCW...

And HCW has pretty much decided that Premiere Yachts of Chicago will operate one of the Landing's two marinas... Bass Pro has the first one... but the Coast Guard is concerned about the size of boats Premiere Yachts will operate based on the size of the wake created by their boats and how that could affect the shoreline.

And the safety of fishermen and possibly the bottom that produces the food because the lake isn't real deep.

I'm not sure what they are trying to create, but it ain't pretty.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

A yacht company running big boats on Taney? What on earth is the world coming to?

I despise big boats like that...they are ruining our waters....Look at Lake of the Ozarks....

I picked up a flyer about the landing a couple of weeks ago and only saw the Bass Pro marina mentioned. The new outfit must have came in after the flyers went out. I tried to find some information on the internet and couldn't come up with anything on them. If someone finds a link it would be interesting to see what type of boats they have and wheter they are a dealership or tour operations.

I saw what looked like a twin hulled cigarette boat on Taney downtown about 2 weeks ago. It was screaming around .. speeding like something you have never seen before.

Probably 35 feet long.. it was really odd.

The first time a "yacht" heads upstream, hits the floatilla of boats anchored at Money Island, trys to turn around and finds itself literally stuck inbetween anchored fishing boats, word will get back to the mothership that rough waters are ahead!!

"Don't go upstream!"

Yikes! Did I see yachts were mentioned to be coming to Tanycomo. Doesn't seem big enough for that. Someone mentioned a Lake of the Ozarks comparison. That would be horrible. I've kind come to think of the Lake of the Ozarks as the sacrifical lamb of Missouri conservation. All the ridiculous boats there so that the other lakes in Missouri remain safe. At the Lake of the Ozarks, 35 ft boats can and do get swamped in the main channel. I'd hate to see that in Tany. Surely the powers that be can see the folly in allowing high powered yachts on such a lake. I would hope so anyway. By the way I won't swim in the Lake of the Ozarks anymore, nor will I eat anything there. I have a friend whose family has had a cabin there for a long time on a cove just off the main channel. He went there acouple of years ago on a weekend and the oil slick covering the water in the cove has kept him away ever since.

I agree..........A casino sounds a hundred times better than a 35 foot scarab flying past cooper creek ramp.
