duckydoty Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Hey fellas, The catch and release program for partners that is. I have gone and gotten myself engaged to a wonderful woman that loves to fish on Taney and she even ties flies. You may have seen her on here lately-DD'sMC. I just wanted to share with you all that we will be getting married on December 31st down on Taney in a drift boat close to outlet 3. If your coming down early for the OAF get together on the 1st feel free to stop by and join in on the celebration. We will be decked out in waders and all and might have to tangle a few lines as part of the ceremony. duckydoty A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Leonard Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Contgrats Ducky & DD..... wish you two all the best. Now when you all get more details, are you going to let us all know? Again congrats. Leonard http://www.taneycomonights.com
DD'sMC Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Gotta love it when you catch a "keeper"! Weather permitting, the ceremony will be @ 4:00pm on December 31st. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. The two best times to go fishing? When it is raining and when it is not.
Aeronikl Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I don't want to get too personal, but it sounds like you scheduled it so you have some time for "consumation" (Phil - is that word OK?) before the big get-together at the shelter! Congratulations. Gary
Terry Beeson Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 ...I have gone and gotten myself engaged to a wonderful woman that loves to fish on Taney and she even ties flies... Yeah, but does she love to sleep in the truck and live on Krispy Kreames and Mountain Dew? Can she make leaders? Can she row? Can she net? Will she give up a productive hole for you to fish? Can she spot big Browns? Does she know the difference in an Albright knot and a Double Surgeon's? And most importantly, does she use the metric system to measure, but claim centimeters are inches? (For the FISH length.... get your mind outta the gutter!!!!) These are very important questions that must be answered prior to the vows... Congrats, Ducky Dude.... Condolences, DDsMC.... Terry, Who can sleep anywhere when the fish are bitin' and you're all jacked up on Krispy Kremes and Mtn. Dews? I think I'd make a fine leader . I know how to paddle, is that considered rowing? I netted duckydoty didn't I (he's a keeper for sure! )?. I'd happily give up a productive hole of fish (it seems there's always more than one on any given body of water ). Spotting the BIG Browns isn't the question, it's catchin' 'em, isn't it? Of course I know the difference, Albright is a college, and Double Surgeon's is two doctors who operate together, right? . And lastly, in order to make an accurate measurement, I must use a tape measure, as my thumb and forefinger can only measure what I have always been told is 8 inches . In all honesty, just between me and you , I'm marrying duckydoty so I won't have to do or know any of these things! He's an awesome guide ya know! . Thanks Terry! We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. The two best times to go fishing? When it is raining and when it is not.

laker67 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Congratulations to Ducky and DD! Glad to hear that you are "tying the Knot". And getting married in a Drift Boat, way cool! How are you going to get a bridesmaid, best man, Preacher, and the little guys for the ring and flowers all in that boat? I know it will all work out. Congrats to a wonderful couple! See you on the creek. Laker67
