Felt Waders

Can anyone tell me why you don't think felt covered boot waders would work in a muddy flooded corn field?

Felt soles get really slick in the mud. I stepped up on a mud bank at Taney and did the splits. First of all it hurt and second it pulled the seam on my waders so i got to buy a new pair .

Thanks for the warning. I have both kinds. The felts just slip on and my hunting waders I have are seperate shoes and take longer to suit up.

They are a pain on ice or in freezing weather. I have a pair of regular soled boots for my stockingfoots when I use them to hunt.
