Members hunter@heart Posted December 11, 2008 Members Posted December 11, 2008 I would like to meet some people that have the stripers and crappie figured out on Norfork. I just got a boat last year and tried the crappie fishing a little, but because of the water conditions never really did any good. I am not real familiar with fishing the clear water on Norfork. Most of my prior fishing was on KY lake throwing shad soft plastics over crappie beds in 9 -12 ft of water. I'm not a big largemouth fisherman, but I would love to meet some people that can show me some stuff on Norfork as far as the crappie and stripers go. I live in West Plains, MO and would be happy to meet someone on the lake some time. Any information would be appreciated. Matt
Ham Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hey Matt, I have yet to catch a crappie from Norfork, but I am told that this time of year the crappie can be caught from the brushpiles by swimming jigs with soft plastics around and through them. I saw a gentleman fishing in the Redbank area tightlining minnows over brush 20-30 foot down. The wind was giving him fits, but I saw him cleaning some nice fish at thhe ramp later. You'll have to go and pay some dues. You'll learn a little more each trip. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
