Paola Cat Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Good day for the dry flies. Caught numbers on cream midges, renegades, and small cracklebacks. Also took fish on SJWs and egg patterns. Caught 2 lunkers today: 1 on 4" white/orange bunny and 1 down in the C&R area on a red serendipity. It was a little chilly early but the afternoon turned off comfortable. There's lots of good and healthy active fish in the stream. PC Cheers. PC
jjtroutbum Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Is this a/your red serendipity? Members ksbass Posted December 20, 2008 Members Posted December 20, 2008 PC Glad you finally made it down. Sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you. Seth and I are planning to go next Friday and/or Saturday after Christmas. Maybe we can get together then. What color of SJWs were working? Paola Cat Posted December 20, 2008 Author Posted December 20, 2008 JJ .... that's it. I was fishing them in tandem. I used a black one on the top and a red one on the bottom. KS .... I used red SJWs and brown SJWs ... both worked. I'd like to get down there again over the holidays. Once the surface activity started I pretty much stayed with the dries. I fished from dry hollow up to the road and down from dry hollow to the bend (I didn't wade). PC Cheers. PC

jjtroutbum Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 JJ, is that tied with deer or elk??? Not mine I just had never heard of the pattern so I ripped a picture from google. Not that its not deer but my guess would be Elk tho seems too thick and awful light colored for the deer I have experience with.
