Members asphaltmonkey Posted December 30, 2008 Members Posted December 30, 2008 Hi guys. I've decided to make a trip up to the White tomorrow the 30th. It looks like they are generating a little where's the best wadeable fishing under the current generation and what are the hot flies right now? I'm from Fort Smith and have pretty much been shut out on my fly fishing this year due to the high water and saw this nice 60 degree weather and lower water and thought I had better take advantage of it. Thanks for the help fellas.
John Berry Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Go to Rim Shoals Trout Dock and have Gary take you to some wadable water in the water taxi. It costs ten dollars for the round trip. Try scuds, sowbugs, Y2Ks, and olive woolly buggers. Good luck! John Berry OAF CONTRIBUTOR Fly Fishing For Trout (870)435-2169 http://www.berrybrothersguides.com berrybrothers@infodash.com

Does he have a website with info? I am planning on coming down later in Jan or Feb, that is a service I would really like to use. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 30, 2008 Root Admin Posted December 30, 2008 I've never heard about the taxi- it is a great idea!!! I might even have to explore the idea. John, you should have Gary email me- I'd love to promote his place here on OA. I've been in his shop but never introduced myself.

jdmidwest Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Thanks. Looks like it is only good in the Catch and Release area around Rim Shoals. Plenty of good water. And they keep in contact with a radio. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
