Fish Bork Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Went there today between 12:00 and 4:00 and didn't catch squat. Another guy caught about 6 crappie but I didn't want to jump over to where he was and steal his spot. I was using a jig and minnow had two little hits right at the start then nothing. Sunny clear day not a cloud in the sky. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

Where were you fishing, right under the dam in the hole or downstream in the channel? Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
vonreed Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 well I don't want to give away our spot. just kidding. the mouth of swan creek. I've been surprised not to catch a single crappie though.
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 At least its got more than a trickle of water now, if we could just get some more long slow rains. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members GotaFish Posted March 27, 2006 Members Posted March 27, 2006 Leonard, Thanks for the advice, my daughters and I just got back from a great trip to Bull Shoals and fished the spot you recommended. We didn't catch many fish as the water temp dropped about 6 degrees since my Dad was there last weekend. However, in about four hours of fishing the hole below Powersite, we did catch a little of everything - one 16"1/2 walleye, three 14" large mouth, 3 small trout, a goggle eye and a couple of blue gill. Nothing big enough to keep, but we had fun anyway. Hopefully, fishing will pick-up for you all soon.
