ozark trout fisher Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 While I generally fly or spin fish for trout in streams, I like to use bait while lake fishing. I live in a lake community that has a small lake stocked with rainbows each winter, but the water clarity is pretty bad, and I haven't caught but a few. So I am wondering if the lakes that allow bait fishing in Busch this time of year still have some trout in them. Is the fishing better in the artificial only lakes?
jdmidwest Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I think they all open up to bait fishing on Feb. 1. Until then, it is catch and release with approved lures only. patfish Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 OTF check your PMs. Also, they again stocked the catch and keep lakes at BWL on the 22nd of Dec.... as info.
