Ness,

They make them that will hold an SLR and also video cameras...they are pretty cool and SUPER easy to get level even on streambanks, rocks, anything. I am sold on them for fishing stuff.

Are they okay to put in the water, i.e. won't rust? I can see having a lot of fun with that thing when fishing. The shot like you took, or from in a canoe - really anything where you'd like to put the camera down for the shot, especially if it's uneven.

Ness, the only metal on it is the screw for the boot that screws into the camera. Mine has seen a lot of water. The only thing that I have noticed is over time the legs will start to loosen up a little, but I have used mine a LOT.

Kyle,

I think I am going to be on the White that weekend. Fishing directly below the dam opens that weekend and I am going pig hunting....you wanna go with?

I am guiding Sunday. My guys called to see if we could put the trip off a day because it "might" be a touch chilly. :)

I am torn between a 4.5 hr drive to the Current and 5hr drive to the NFW. Any info that might tip the scales for NFW????
