Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 13, 2009 Root Admin Posted January 13, 2009 Bill and I are to speak at Queeney Park Wednesday night. We usually go fishing and take pics for the event the day or two before- and today was the day. Supposed to be cold tomorrow Water ran - I'd say alittle more than one unit. We got out about 9 am. Boated to the dam. Tossed jigs. I used a white 1/8th oz and Bill tried a sculpin, I think. For whatever reason, I caught quite a few rainbows and a few browns. He caught some too. Some of the rainbows in the pics are alittle small for the camera but they were pretty. And yes I did hold some of them out to the camera. Wanted to show off the fish and not the fisherman. We did real well fishing the bluff from Lookout down to Fall Creek. I actually was surprised at the size and quality of the trout caught.
Members alletec Posted January 13, 2009 Members Posted January 13, 2009 Looks like a nice day. I am coming down tomorrow and fishing till Thurseday. May cut the trip short. Wheather report look very cold on Thurs. What size white jig did you catch your fish on? I am sorry I will miss you at Queeny Park. I think my father in law is going to hear your talk. I will check in with Curtis to make sure every thing is running smooth. Hope to catch you before you leave. Drive careful. Jeff Alley Jeff Alley
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 13, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted January 13, 2009 Jeff- size depends on the amount of water running and wind. Could have used 3/32 but 1/8th was a little better. White has been the best color by far. You should do well. Oh yea- we quit fishing at 11:30 am. It was a short trip.
Greg Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Glad to see you caught some browns. I haven't seen many these past 6 months or so. Greg "My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it" - Koos Brandt Greg Mitchell
