Members Slabhunter Posted January 14, 2009 Members Posted January 14, 2009 My family and I are coming over for our annual trip to Table Rock on the Feb.27-March 3 and we have tried a couple of different places. But we just haven't found the right one. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. Thanks.
duckydoty Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Check this place out. click here A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
DD'sMC Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Or try this one~click here (Taneycomo) or maybe this one~click here (Table Rock) We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. The two best times to go fishing? When it is raining and when it is not.
Members Slabhunter Posted January 14, 2009 Author Members Posted January 14, 2009 Those look nice. Have you ever heard of Fish n Fun? I was just looking at that one it looked pretty nice. We stayed at a place on the mouth of the Kings last year and it wasn't the best expeirence. We fish the opening day of trout season at roaring river too. So I don't really wanna drive a long ways at 4 in the morning.
wily Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 try spider creek in arkansas. it's a great place and pretty close to RR. http://www.spidercreek.com/
Whack'emGood Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 You could always try the White River Lodge B&B. I don't know what exactly you're looking for, but there aint a guy nicer than Bill Babler to support. I have never been to his place, but it looks like a great one, depending on what type of place you need. Check out his link on the top of this page. "Success builds confidence, and you have to learn to trust your instincts and forget about fishing the way a tournament is supposed to be won. I'm going to fish my style and make it work for me." -KEVIN VANDAM "Confidence is the best lure in your tackle box." -GERALD SWINDLE "A-Rig? Thanks, but no thanks. If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)
Crappie5 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 White River Lodge would be my choice. Bill and Becky Babbler are great host and what a nice place. Check it out on the link at the top of the page. If you sweet talk Becky she might sneak the fishing report out of Bill for you and put you on some fish.
Members NuB2TR Posted January 14, 2009 Members Posted January 14, 2009 Sounds like you want something in the Shell Knob area. Try shellknob.com and click on chamber members. You'll see several resorts listed. Before buying a home in SK, we always stayed at Pla-Port. Nice people and clean units. Gentle walk to lake & dock. Can see slips from cabins. No swimming pool (except the big one with fish in it).
focused fishing Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Got to agree on the lower end of the lake there is no better place than White River Lodge. If you are looking for something closer to Roaring River, check out Indian Hills Resort: http://www.indianhillstablerocklake.com/ If your looking for something a little more "homey" try: Amber Acres: www.amberacres.com Campbell Point Resort: www.campbellpoint.com Smaller cabins, with more of a home town feel. Members Capt. Hook Posted January 14, 2009 Members Posted January 14, 2009 I also like the Hickory Hollow Resort which is by the Kings River Golf Course.
