bigredbirdfan Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 You have some pretty stark accusations. Do you have information to back these claims? I was descript as I could be. Nearly new equipment being readied for auction because it was being replaced with new. Perhaps you could volunteer at a MDC facility and see it first hand, then report here what you find.

You may not be a conservation hater, but you sure area a Missouri Department of Conservation hater... It's all the same in my mind. We've had this argument before, haven't we? Missouri has great hunting, and great fishing almost solely because of the MDC, and I take my hat off to the many good Conservation agents Missouri is blessed to have. I couldn't care less about anyone who thinks otherwise. That's my opinion.

I was speaking more of the claims that new tools were being stolen by MDC empoylees and possibly volunteers. I would like to know how you know where those tools went? Why you didn't alert law enforcment to theft of gov. property? I have many times looked at there auction items online. By the descrips, sounds pretty used to me. I don't have a habit of buying vehicles that are not very old with very high mileage. Chief Grey Bear Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 http://www.mdc.mo.gov/about/sale/brookfield.htm Here you can look at the next auction. Where is all the nearly new equipment? I wouldn't consider anything over 5 years old nearly new. But that is my opinion. And as always the only thing you have proven is your love of government.

And as always the only thing you have proven is your love of government. All I have proved, once again, is that you don't know what you are yaking about. To borrow a term from you, it would appear that "you don't have a clue". You still didn't answer the question about the tools you claim to have witnessed being stolen??? Now don't get your feathers all fluffed up. I am sure the MDC was created just to screw the residents of this great state plus any out of staters that haplessly cross the border to take part of the wonderful outdoor recreation created by the MDC. It was all just an evil plot!!! I get to hunt on public land. The streams I fish have great public access. The trout streams I fish in are well stocked. In this case I do get what I want, and I believe it is what is best for Missouri

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 27, 2009 Root Admin Posted February 27, 2009 Birdfan... You should know by now you can't come on this forum and throw around accusations without backing them up. There's too many people here that will call you on the carpet. If you have problems with MDC, don't cloud your points with unsubstantiated claims (MDC mishandling equipment/inventory)- it doesn't bide well if you want to make a strong case. For example, what Dabblemont has done with his claims about agents giving people tickets... he loses anyway he goes cause he can't back it up. He can't use real names or he'd be sued. So why even bring it up? ALL that you say may be true but if it's not presented in a culpable way, you loose your argument. If you say you saw all this first hand (tools being stolen), then so be it. If people choose to not believe it, then so be it.
