focused fishing Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Nice Techo, Nope I have owned two boats for over a year now so I have gone back to my old one; 05 Ranger 520 with a Yamaha on it. Until this economy / boat industry gets sorted out I don't want to be on the hook for another memo boat. If my memo deal is still there great, if not I'll start working on another. CaptainJoe Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Welcome home, Don. I will be going out for Crappie, probably Wednesday thru Fri, as soon as I get the rest of the snow and the road grime off of my truck and boat. I plan to hit the James. techo Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Just teasing Eric. I know you bleed Ranger blue. Nice boat. If the economy keeps going this direction....my 90 horse might not be the only little motor at the tourneys! I plan on being on the James on Wednesday too. Maybe see you out there Captain Joe. Mrs. techo has other plans for me Thursday. Tim Carpenter
CaptainJoe Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Techo, What color is your Skeeter? As of today, I plan to put in at Cape Fair and probably head towards Flat Creek. techo Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 White with red. Usually has a tall pot bellied dude on the front stuck in a tree, rock or untangling something! I was considering flat creek too. A friend has a place near there and "said" he didn't catch anything. Kind of hard to believe. I haven't decided if I am going to put in at Cape Fair and head up, or go to Aunt's Creek and head up. Best of luck in any case. Might have to get you to show me Bull Shoals someday. Tim Carpenter

CaptainJoe Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Techo, Sounds good. Hope to see you tomorrow. Was on Bull Shoals last Saturday in the sleet, snow, and wind. Had about an inch of snow on the boat and then driving home on the wet and salty roads really messed up the boat and truck. Took hours to clean them up. Only caught two keepers in the Hogan Creek area, one on a Eakins MO craw 5/16 oz. jig tipped with a green pumpkin craw trailer and the other on a green craw Wiggle Wart. The Wiggle Wart fish was 4lbs, 3ozs. and was in about 5' of water. My fishing buddy caught three keepers, two on a Table Rock Shad jerkbait and his 4lbs, 3oz. largemouth came on a brown craw Wiggle Wart on a cast just before I caught my big one. But, then the bite ended. Joe Captain Joe Hreha Owner of MO Fenchbulldogs.com; Captain Joe's Guide Service (Retired); OAF Contributor; & Captain, U. S.
