trizkid Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 never thought id be asking about tying a suan juan but i recently bought some Chenille and no matter what i do i can not get the chenille from falling apart.....if there a certain type of chenille that works for the suan juans or am i doing something wrong?,.....help please TrIzzout

After you tie it to your hook, just make sure you take a lighter and burn the ends slightly on each end. Hope this helps, Rich
DoveTail Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Where is it falling apart? From the ends? Passing it through a flame for a quick pass (just enough to tapper the ends) may prevent that. Plus the tapper will give it a more natural look. Hope that helps.
fishinwrench Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Yeah you have to have the "ULTRA chenille", regular chenille won't work for SJW's. (get Medium for bigger ones, and Micro for the little guys).
