Question for John or any other expert:

I've always wondered what the max # of generators is that you can effectively fish Rim shoals? Doing the ferry option. Also do you need to call ahead to arrange the ferry at Rim?

Thanks

Greg

While JB can answer that question better than I, give Gary Flippin at Rim Shoals a call and he can give you minute by minute details on the water there in reaction to releases and rainfall. You have to take into consideration that Rim is quite a ways from the dam, so if they are generating, the water may be ankle deep at Rim and vice versa...

Gary thinks that 17,000 cfs is about the maximum generation that is safe. That is the equivqlent of five full generators. Gary is the source of all knowledge on Rim Shoals.

www.rimshoals.com says it pretty well.
