I was by there today, they have some large circus tents (the good ones) set up in the lot between Wonders of Wildlife and the boat showroom, looks like it will be quite a show...... count me out.

Made a run after lunch, put in at Hermitage water temps 59-60 looking for one of my brush piles ran into a large school of white bass just roaming in the middle of a cove thru a roadrunner thru them, fast and furious 8 to the boat in short order then they moved on. Nicer size than I have encountered since the die off a few years back. Spotted some crappie over brush, 22 fow, about 15 feet deep, monkey milk bobby garland SwimR produced 3 nice crappie. Got tired of fighting the wind came in about 1630

I did try one of these on my 9.9 on the white river boat, worked pretty good but but rocks can be lodged between the prop and protector stopping progress.( I do have two of these on the shelf that I am not using that could go for half off) https://www.propsavers.com/products/river-runner-size-d -

I have wondered if one of these might work: https://www.basspro.com/p/marinetech-products-panther-marine-motor-tilt-and-trim-and-electro-steer-lightweight-outboard-aluminum-bracket -
I have a bubba, have changed it to Mr. Twister blades. It works fine @BilletHead has a Rapala. If I buy another it will be a Rapala as I have had the opportunity to compare both side by side on white bass and crappie. The Rapala is a bit faster. my two cents

We ran similar then improved due to the long handle getting hung on sweepers when floating. Installed a shifter mechanism much like a riding lawnmower deck lift with a cylinder assist (came off junk car station wagon back door lifts) I have one buddy in his 90s may still have one around or remember enough to draw a blueprint. Will check -

Update, took the boat to @fishinwrench Tuesday afternoon. By Wednesday evening he had it diagnosed and working as intended. Apparently the previous water pump installation was done by some bonehead old man(who shall remain nameless) had improperly installed so "the water pump base seal had fallen out, and that would not allow the pump to align properly....which destroyed the water tube grommet." I took it for a run yesterday, from the Gravois Ramp to main lake and back it worked as intended. Nothing damaged except my pride and wallet. Thanks to fishinwrench for getting me going so quickly. -

@fishinwrenchtext sent, I did get the recommended oil injection delete completed and a test run, all seems well except the overheating issue. I think you hit the problem on the head with the pop off, but could be the thermostats? Just do not think I am up to doing that pop off yet. Will set up bringing it up for your expertise and skill. -

Tone solid beeeep, and gauge on dash reading hot. If I drop to idle it will cool down in just a few have had the beep beep beep oil injection one, just pop the cowling, loosen the lid on the on motor while running, let it fill the reservoir, it sometimes bleeds off while sitting in non use, seems fine if using daily. Have not had the water in fuel one....yet. Thanks @fishinwrench -

started prepping to work on it tomorrow, when I pulled the cowling found this disconnected???? Sits behind the front cowling latch going into the EFI box??? Plugged in, latch fits? Guessing knocked loose removing cowling latch? (which I have to do occasionally to bleed the on tank reservoir, due not having "deleting" the oil injection system ...yet.. as instructed by @fishinwrench) -

@fishinwrenchGlen I plan on pulling it a part this week and making sure nothing obvious is amiss. How far out are you on messing with it? Problem is that I can not tell much on muffs or a tank, it has to run to get hot??? You have a whole lake right there as long as its not froze. -

It is only at WOT, I watch my gauge so no warnings I just drop back to idle until it drops, figure if thermostat it would do it at mid range??? -
As @snagged in outlet 3 says put out the Wrench beacon @fishinwrench I did my normal replace the water pump impeller as I do every 2-3 years. It was not getting too hot but increasing temp at mid range throttle, fine at idle or WOT. It was showing wear so I put the "kit" in. Now it is fine at idle, ok at mid range but gets hot at WOT????? No idea if I need a thermostat or heaven forbid I put it back together wrong.....or ???? Deciding where to start or if I need to turn it over to a professional? After 5 heart procedures, cancer surgery and radiation in the past 3 years, not sure I am strong enough to tackle a big project. Thanks for guidance
