  1. Dang I was in Colorado and missed it. Would like to have a couple fly rods/blanks and a few more of their crappie rods(they are great for 1/8 oz jigs) crappie and trout
  2. Actually that is one of the steps I used in applying the gflex and kevlar to my Royalex canoes, it is supposed to open up the plastic for better adhesion mine have stayed put for several years and well over 1,000 miles on each.
  3. I am down to 3 old town canoes, they have some years on them, all have skid plates front and rear, as they were worn similar to yours, they float fine and I do not worry shooting over thin shoals. I have had the best luck with kevlar cloth and G-flex holding up for years. https://www.westsystem.com/products/g-flex-650-toughened-epoxy/
  4. how high the lake is......
  5. The current elevation of Pomme de Terre Lake is 847.4 feet and has decreased by 0.29 feet in the last 24 hours. The normal pool level is 839 feet. They are releasing 2950 cfs so falling. With more rain forecast Friday, Saturday and Sunday......I would bring a flipping stick and some spinnerbaits.
  6. 5.75 just a mile north of you, got the mowing done Friday
  7. Mr. Jackson ….it is me again…. If you can hang on to it until I manage to get my truck up there for a warranty repair I would like to have it. Will pm when I get to a real computer. Thanks les
  8. I have not @Bill Babler , since we usually take the 5th Wheel, I prefer not to double pull that far. Even though our youngest son lives in Chicago, we route around that circus. So I am limited to my kayak unless I hook up with one of the locals who are mostly interested in deep trolling for salmon. We have approached the Kangaroo from various angles.....simply too many folks, will likely try again this summer. I like the two little city lakes at Alaska, the Kewaunee County Lake and the Forestville Lake. The Ahapee River below Forestville to the mouth in Algoma is a prime spot for 6 inch bull heads....I have spent some time up the Kewaunee River from the mouth to the salmon hatchery .with limited success, but the river is full of crawfish I know I am just not figuring it out. Have to get out of my @BilletHead mindset and take more spinning and casting gear this year. Will share if I figure anything out. Appreciate your reports.
  9. Gentlemen, I certainly am grateful for the @Bill Babler suggestions, hope to give Nightingale Supper Club and pizza a shot, Mr. Glidden is way over this fixed income budget. As for the Prince of Pierogi..... @Terrierman told us about this a few years ago...... I know they may not appreciate the recommendation from a guy with a quadruple bypass and four stents.... but we go every year at least once when up there.... The food is excellent, the Polish Beer is great, I am not really a beer drinker, but much better than that kraft crap. Ladybear and I usually attempt to go at a off time to visit with the Brothers, enjoy the stories Great Folks, good people. Looking forward to the Nightingale Supper Club when it gets hot in the Ozarks. Great area, music in the parks fish the small lakes mostly....... no 4 ft rollers for this old man. g
  10. Dutch, I do not want to hog anyone out of it, I do have a bubba, but @BilletHeads Rapala is better. I have been "jonesing" for one.
  11. and another???? Be Careful out there guys.
  12. The guy who was declared the winner of the ended tourney said "they were sitting in a bad spot" here is the news report:
  13. I never actually got to fish with Richard, but often in the general area. But did have the privilege of being in the same fish camp and sharing meals talking fishing a few days, along with Ham and Cody. Very pleasant and knowledgeable guy.
  14. Want to say Thank You, to @Phil Lilley, Marsha and the entire Lilley's Staff, for being such Great host. As Marty mentioned above we were blessed to have such nice accommodations, a truly great place to gather for FFFF.
  15. Napping while knapping
  16. We cannot risk Cody's gumbo with a poll. I will make a pot of chili....so we don't all starve. And it saves more gumbo for me!
  17. Sorry Cody I will not be able to make it. Sure you boyz will have a blast and sore mouth a bunch. Save me some etouffee
  18. Should I wait for a freeze?
  19. Fillet knife does a great job....jealous
  20. Someone got a fine boat. Ladybear has that satisfied smile......
  21. What @jdmidwest I have bought from IL AR bill of sale and VIN got it done fine. Only issue I ever had was a yamaha 2.5 motor for a canoe, they typo the motor to 25 was a PIA to get corrected.
  22. Bill, these days I seem to crappie fish more than bass. TR has became so crowded I only fish winters. But unless fish are in a pre spawn stage (there is a whole another discussion of "ethics" and criticism) I am rarely in less than 20 fow, and sure miss your posts. Is it possible that @Phil Lilley can set up a thread within the TR forum with limited access that you have to sign a waiver that you are ok with FFS and deep fish?
