Kansas Fly Fisher Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I'm looking to buy a jig head mold in the 1/100 or 1/80 oz size. Actually, I'd like both sizes if possible. I've checked on-line and they seem very hard to find. I did find the 1/80 size in the Do-It brand. Hilt advertised having them but when I ordered they sent back an email and said they didn't have them. Any help would be appreciated. New or used is fine. grizwilson Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 John I should be in Forsyth this week sometime. I bought both from a small tackle shop there they were hand made locally. Not the slickest I have seen but they work pretty well. G “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
slider Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 KFF, I was just looking threw my barlows fishing tackle cataloge and they have both of them. They are a little high fore my budget. slider DONT EVER GIVE UP MOSES WAS A BASKET CASE ONCE!
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 Slider - I also found them and they are a bit pricing. Don't see me getting one of those. They also have a cheaper model with six cavities of different sizes. But it only has one cavity in the 1/80 size. G - if your going to be in the area and wouldn't mind seeing if they still have the molds I would appreciate it. If they do could you send me the contact info and I'll see about a trip down that way. Thanks for both of the replys. Tight Lines - John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
grizwilson Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 John Checked with the shop no longer availible. Those little buggers are a pain to pour but I can not find them with a big enough hook for crappie, so I pour them, had to dremmel out the mold for a bigger hook. If I see any around will let you know. G “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
