laker67 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 ok so what fish can you keep in the trophy waters. I am maybe going to come down tomorrow and would like to keep a few for supper. I usually C & R so i don't know the limits Rule #1 is know the rules before you walk out the door. Taney's trophy section has limits and restrictions like no other. Not only on fish, but in lure restrictions as well. There is also safety issues to consider when wading or boating a tailwater. Log on to the MDC website for fishing regs on Taney. Good luck.

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 16, 2009 Root Admin Posted March 16, 2009 Keep any rainbow below 12 inches up to 4 trout. You can keep them over 20 inches but... it's better to keep the small ones. I think you know the lure restrictions.
