The work to shore up the bank at the Fall Creek Condo complex continues. Boy, they're spending a ton of money on this project! Looks like they've poured concrete on the actual bank and I assume they're going to continue with the shot rock up to the buildings. Pretty impressive project!

I'm going to miss fishing the trees in that area.

I'm not a fan of rip-rap.

I stayed there last week, I was in the building across the street from the ones on the water, I think it is the one that you can see between the riverfront ones. I did not hear any of the construction or was bothered by any of the trucks coming and going. I did go look at the backside, it looks like those rocks will attract fish during generation since it will create some turbulence over them.

Phil, glad I don't have a place there anymore. The special assessment will be huge. See you next week.

If I owned and got an assessment I would sue the developer, contractor and association. That unit was never properly excavated and was constructed too close to the shoreline to begin with. The other units as well. But is it any surprise with little to no buildings in Branson constructed per ICC building codes? You get what you pay for in Branson.

There are still plenty of trees left for you to fish just a few yards down!

I wonder if insurance would have covered this damage. That building was quite a ways from the river before the great flood of 08.

I would think they could sue the accountants who forced them to buy into such a property. Having created this chain of impoundments, the Corp needs freedom to do what they must to manage the water.

Please state which code you are referring to?

Do you have previous knowlege of how close they were to waters edge upon issuance of the building permit?

Please do not throw out unsubstantiated claims without a way to back them up.

Ditto to 2sheds, always ready to imprision the cpa's

Semms like this was a metalirgic engineering failure to me.

All metalirgic engineers should share the cost, perhaps a spiffy new 90% tax would do the trick.
