Members Trolling 4 Walleye Posted March 27, 2009 Members Posted March 27, 2009 The weather forecast seems to be remarkably accurate. It usually even has the wind speeds down and at what time they change. For the most part I have a good idea what the weather will do. I am with everone else in that I have a cell phone. My mrs would call in a heartbeat if something popped up. I don't think there is a place on the lake where you are more than three or four minutes (or less)from some sort of shelter. Any particular website you use for weather forecasts?
techo Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I just use weather.com. I lived in Alaska between mountain ranges for a bit. You didn't have a clue what the weather would do. The jet streams are fairly predictable here and they have forecasts broken down to fifteen minute intervals for details if you want. They are a little off or surprised on occasion, but for the most part pretty accurate. Tim Carpenter
Whack'emGood Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Any particular website you use for weather forecasts? I agree with Techo in that I like weather.com, but I like Weather Underground (wunderground.com) better, IMO. It breaks down the day into segments as far as temperature, wind speed and direction, and cloud cover and precipitation like weather.com does. Pretty accurate too... relatively that is. Those two and also noaa.gov are all good IMO. My .02. If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)
