Jeremy, when you have that problem with a Rooster Tail try bending the tip of the blade out, if that doesn't help bend it in. Make the bend very slight, it generaly doesn't take much.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Crappie in Beaver- the only crappie I've caught is off the bluff bank on the left at the first bend.

That's exactly where I caught the biggest crappie I've ever caught in Missouri, several years ago.

It was a 17 3/4" black crappie female, caught while trolling a swimming minnow for white bass during the spring run.

Just got back from a short trip to Forsyth. Fished Tuesday evening below Swan from a boat. Caught 2 both males. Wade fished Beaver on Wednesday from the rock hole to the tin whistles. Caught 4 big males at the tin whistles in the morning. Saw a school of males moving up the shoal but they wouldn't even look at my lure. Came back at noon-it was cloudy. Talked to a guy who said he caught his limit in 45 min. on Tues using swimming minnows. Talked to another guy who said he and 4 buddies had limited out Tues. evening. Apparently I was a day late. Did end up catching 7 males on a rebel. Did get to visit with a flyrodder, mentionned this forum and he said he was a friend of Phil's. He said he grew up in Kansas and worked for Phil's father and followed them to Branson-good guy. Made the hike from the rock hole to tinwhistles and back again on thursday morning-caught 1 white on each end. Fished below Swan thursday afternoon-caught 2 whites. Caught 2 at the tin wistles on thursday evening after the storm. The water in Beaver was clear with a good flow.

Fished Beaver on Saturday, I didn't get to the launch ramp until 9:00 and was suprised at the few number of boats on the water. Caught one huge female right off the bat, first cast curse, did catch a few small males in the afternoon. Beaver is extremely clear and the fish spook easily with a boat, I would think wade fishing and at night would be the ticket. The season seems to be really spotty, several times this year we have caught 2-3 out of one spot in a short time period and that will be it. Can move up and down thinking the school had moved and nothing. Makes you wonder about the population. But the Walleye fishing should be great next year, couple weeks ago we caught more than a dozen Walleyes in two days of fishing, all 16-17 3/4 inches!
