Funny, people said the same thing about the Early 70's Mopar products too... Guess their crystal ball lied to them..

Your killin me smalls, my wifes blonde hair would go nicely with that color, but she (I) wants the 6 liter.

I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted.

Huge difference! I am a 'motorhead' from that era. I can't remember that level of disrespect towards Mopars. Quite the opposite actually. Value $ them to the investor prices of today? Never saw that coming. But the car pictured above vs. a Hemi anything....apples to oranges. I don't disrespect todays' performance cars, my son had a GTO, sweet Mustang, and currently has a go-fast Subaru. All would outperform & outhandle anything I've owned but again, apples & oranges.

I have a 1961 Chevy Impala 2 door bubble top. This car was bought by my dad in Dec. of 1960. He worked at Fisher Body at the time it was built. He worked 2nd shift and had the choice for it to come down the line on 2nd shift so he could see it. My first car ride ever was in this car....it brought me home from the hospital when I was born. Later, when I was 16, I took my drivers test in it. Still have the car today. Lots of memmories. It doesnt run anymore. I keep saying, some day, I will get to restore it. Some day just never seems to come. But its something I could never part with. And yes....thats me and my sister in about 1969.

That's a slick car, and an excellent story!

I've driven both. How do you think I knew I wanted to 6.0??? I do happen to have an lq4 laying around though....

After having driven both you can honestly say the 2004 isn't enough of a freak, eh?

lol, a bird in the hand man... (whaddayawantmetosay?)

I will post here when the 65 is done,All numbers match 289 with a three speed.I am always on the lookout for old muscle cars and willing to pay a finders fee for the right car,if you know of a car out there that needs love, from 64-72 ,PM me with the vin numbers and I can decode them .There are fewer cars out there every year. The 67 will be a custom restomod in the Eleanor style.

All my pictures are on my phone. I have a 72 Dodge Dart Swinger, an 07 Yamaha R6, 06 Yamaha R6, and a very fast 2000 ford focus stock for my trips!

The swinger was my grandpa's and I got it when he passed away. It has 82k miles on it and is completely restored. I got to help him with this when I was younger and I actually sold it about 2 years ago and recently rebought it from the guy I sold it too for cheaper than what I sold it and he only put 6,000 miles on it.

I had a '69 Dart Swinger, fun car. Friend of mine had a Swinger that was modified by Hurst. Had a 440 in it, glass front end. Not certain if he ever got it restored.
