tippett7 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I went down there this morning and fished by the park and had one fish on for a while but he got off. My buddy went down by the dairy farm and caught a few and had a big one on in the one of the deep holes. I was using a pheasant tail nmph and a wd 40. It is a beautiful place to fish, even if you don't catch any.

timsfly Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 What time were you at the Lower area, I was there real early this morning and didn't see anybody when I left. I think I left about 9:00 a.m. Fishing was good for me this morning, landed two real nice fish and several smaller fish, I was using a 1/32 oz wooyjig on my 5wt and also used a big possmum nymph(like a rabbit leech only tied with aussie possum) I didn't know you had to put the battery back in your camera after you charged it If you leave it at home in the charger, your camera is just excess weight Oh well I wouldn't have caught either fish, if I had, had my camera with me. Water is looking good at crane right now, if we don't get hammered with rain the next week or so it should fish good all month. Flysmallie Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 If you leave it at home in the charger, your camera is just excess weight That's funny. I carried my camera with me to North Carolina this week. I didn't know what a pain it would be carrying it and my laptop through security and having to drag both bags on and off two planes. But I made it here with it. Guess where my battery is? Yep, it's at home on the charger!
tippett7 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I was up in the park area till about 9:30 then went down to the dairy farm access. To get to the dairy farm there is a bridge right before you get into Crane Creek town. There is a road to the right just before the bridge. Take that road and then take your first left and there is a Missouri Conv Dept parking lot there
