jay bird Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Did a four month clinical in Livingston and my Dad grew up in Three Forks so spent summers there fishing with my Grandfather on the Madison. A great place, but long winters. There is a great great hike in lake outside of Livingston, not sure of the name, but you hike in about four miles from the Silver Falls Campground. Great cut throat trout action and beautiful little lake. Mills creek that runs into the Yellowstone is another great fly-fishing stream. Great memories you will love it out there.
Flysmallie Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Okay Michael, I have all my stuff packed. When are we leaving? Good luck to you and the family. A lot of us are going to miss you.
Nortrad Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Have a great future in the West. I'm originally from WA and miss the big country and streams that flow down from the mountains. Thanks for all your help at the shop and I will be in soon--lost my nippers on the last trip to the Current, a great trip I might add, thanks to you and some others for the gear and advice. Nortrad
DD'sMC Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. The two best times to go fishing? When it is raining and when it is not.
