Members JONBOY Posted May 27, 2009 Members Posted May 27, 2009 Can anybody teach me how to do that??? It is awesome! Novice Fly fisher.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 27, 2009 Root Admin Posted May 27, 2009 Most of the objective is to get all the line in the air - no dragging. Then it's timing. Not all that hard. But you don't have to follow his movements exactly. You can do the same in half the moves- or different moves. Make up your own moves- just as long as you get the line in the air and in position to make the last roll cast.
Members JONBOY Posted June 1, 2009 Members Posted June 1, 2009 Thanks, I will have to try it sometime when I don't have anything on my line so I don't rip my eye out. Novice Fly fisher.
Terry Beeson Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 There are a lot of "one handed spey" tactics similar. There are several guys around familiar with them. Yep... timing. And wherever the rod tip goes, the line follows... TIGHT LINES, YA'LL "There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." - Paul O’Neil
