taxidermist Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Wife and I hit the lake at about 10:00am Saturday April 4. we fished till about 5:30pm and caught a lot of whites, over 70 with only one female. Several short spotted bass, a couple of largemouth bass, she caught a nice crappie and I caught some short walleye. She used a diving crank bait, shad colored and I used a shad colored rattle trap. Wind was terrible, sun was nice we caught a lot of fish but we worked for them. Water temp was 54F up in the shallow area down to 45F in the deep end closer to the dam. Water in the shallow was cloudy and then closer to the dam it cleared to about 7 feet,
