Just curious if anyone has fished or even been by Mill Creek lately? I would think with the rain and snow we've got in the past few weeks that the creek should have plenty of water. I wonder how the fish are doing?

Some friends and I are considering fishing it next weekend. Where's the best access point at?

Google "Mill Creek MDC". It will show a very nice map of mill creek, little piney and stone mill spring. Unless things have improved over the years, you will find water at mill creek, a few holdover razorback hogs, and not much else. You need some local help from someone in that area. Otherwise it may be a long drive for just a stroll in the MTF. OFF44 needs some help from you Phelps and Pulaski county boys.

I've got the MDC map off the MDC website...just not sure where we should park and walk in. I'm thinking we'll probably park at the bridge off the county road and then walk upstream just to check it out.

Surely there's a few fish hiding out in the creek. A couple recent reports show some fish being caught. Who knows, we might just pass it up and go elsewhere. Or just spend another day on the Current River...

Spent a couple hours there about a month ago..Most of the stream improvements they installed on Bohigian CA two years ago looked like they washed out completely or filled up with sand and gravel. They were rebuilding some of them with the aid of some heavy equipment and I think there is a tree planting scheduled in the near future. There were still a few fish in the "unimproved" sections. But if I were to go back, I'd probably fish the lower end of the creek were they havent tried to improve anything.

Some neat stuff in the MTF near there though....The natural bridge is worth the 15 minute walk, and the Little Piney is right there too. Cheers.

Yeah hit mill creek on our trip on 4-25-09 but no luck there. I know there are fish there but nothing was hitting that day.

I fished Mill one time too, and it absolutely skunked me. I know there are a few fish there, but there are plenty of better wild trout creeks around.
