Regarding folks getting in late, I was on the Huzzah last year and had just gotten in my tent when I hear some yelling coming down the valley. It gets a little closer so I decide I better get out and have a look-see. I get out and here comes four or five people walking down the gravel bar, with another walking the raft in the water. A couple of 'em come up to me and ask how far to the take-out. Just around the bend, I tell them. They were teenagers or thereabouts. I'm thinking what-the? and scrounge my watch outta the dry bag. IT WAS 12:10 A.M.!!!!!

Good story - the walking part reminded me of the time on the JF I was, not really sure now, down from Blue Spring. This guy carrying a crossbow & his female friend came out of the brush and asked me how far it was to the cave. I asked Jam-up & he said yes. Told him not sure, but it was a number of miles anyway. Last I saw of him he was walking downstream. No idea if he ever made it or not. Just shook my head.
