dwiebenga Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Hey everyone, I will finally be down on Thursday night. With the rain, how is the clarity in the Shell Knob area? Is it muddy with water from the Kings? Also, I thought I might do some crappie fishing during the Shriners Tourn. instead of fighting with them for places. With Jug-n-Plug closed and in chaos, where could I find some minnows along Hwy 39? What have been the "hot" bass baits in the Shell Knob area? Is it the same as the other reports I have seen? Thank you for all the great posts, and I hope to add one myslef. dave

I'd say from the 39 bridge towards Campbell point you'd be ok as far as clarity. The guys on the forum who live there can help you better. Good luck! Pour Dennis Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I did not get out today. But I noticed there was some color to the water at the bridge after the rain we had on Saturday. The color was not real bad, just stained and murky from what I could see.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Dennis...could you see much in the way of wood and trash coming down the lake? Mud I can deal with, but my lower unit is grouchy about deadheads.
rps Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 On Sunday there were numerous logs, limbs, and boards from Holiday Island to Eagle Rock. Unless the wind stops them, some will make it to Shell Knob on river current by Wednesday or Thursday. Do be careful.

dwiebenga Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 Leaving tomorrow, and just wanted to see if anyone had fished between the 39 Hwy bridge and Campbell Point. What is water temp? Bedding fish? Clarity? Any information would be greatly appriciated. Dave
dwiebenga Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 So, these fish are untouched waiting for me...LOL
