FishinCricket Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Just decided that I was going to find a workable format for typing up my fishing reports. I found a very unique website that allows me to type up an "article" about whatever I want (pretty much).. I am taking the opportunity, for now, to post my fishing reports and photos there, as well as here (depending upon the report) Check out my first report "Fly Fishing for Bluegill" by clicking HERE A special thanks definitely goes out to two of our local forum members for their assistance and advice. Greg and Fishinwrench, your kindness has reserved you a spot in my boat anytime. cricket.c21.com
flyfishmaster Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Nice Hub Report Cricket! I think I joined Hub about 6 years ago. But have not been to it in 5 years, thanks for the reminder. Later FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!

Greg and Fishinwrench, your kindness has reserved you a spot in my boat anytime. I post some articles on hub, and some on ezine. I do it partly because I enjoy writing articles, and partly to promote my website. Good report. I'm also beginning to pick up the fly rod after being vehemently opposed to using it for years. I'm still in the stage where its a little less effective for me than a spinning rod, but hopefully that'll change.
fishinwrench Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Excellent my Man ! And thanks for the kind words I wish you'd hurry up and get a 6wt. line for that rod though...it'll really come to life in your hands, promise. For what you are doing now, a Cortland 333 WF-6-F will do great (about 33.00+tax)

But if I can convince the wife to come down on sunday, maybe I can pick some up and have you show me how to spool it... (How much you charge for that? LOL) cricket.c21.com
fishinwrench Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Come early enough to man the hush puppy fryer and it's on the house
FishinCricket Posted May 16, 2009 Author Posted May 16, 2009 Come early enough to man the hush puppy fryer and it's on the house You might just have a deal there... Still working the wife, she is complaining that working 14 hours today is going to effect her willingness to go anywhere Sunday (told ya she is a hermit). You still making your park trip today? Or did the derby turn you off? cricket.c21.com

Or did the derby turn you off? I can understand that, can't say that I blame her. No, the river guage doesn't suit me and the park will be a zoo. So I'm gonna do something closer to home I guess. If you wanna cruise up we can go chase the Whites or Gills if you want. I'm free until 8 pm

I am gonna get off work and go hit a pond for a few hours since the wife is tending bar all freakin' night... I'll try for tomorrow, but you had better make sure you have a back up cook for the hushpuppies.. cricket.c21.com
fishinwrench Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 LOL no problem bro. Good luck with the Gills....gonna be a tough bite today. Spring cold fronts are a real kick in the nutts for stillwater.
