FishinCricket Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Jitterbug Now, I gotta know.. How do you catch fish with a cell phone? Allow me a guess? Tear out the extra large numbers and use them for bait... and use the sim card for a hook, the case for a bobber, and the battery for a weight.. cricket.c21.com
OzarkFishman Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 "Now, I gotta know.. How do you catch fish with a cell phone?" I have to hand it to CadillaCricket for being the first person to make me laugh out loud on this website.
denjac Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Now, I gotta know.. How do you catch fish with a cell phone? Funny thing is I didnt know there was a cell phone called a jitterbug.. zsmith62 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Something topwater, be it with spinning tackle or even better: a popper fly or a dry fly of some kind... Zach Smith
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Top water, probably a Sammy. My next choice would be a Senko just under the surface. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members DLM84 Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 I have a crappie jig with a chartreuse wiggelie tail thing about 1-1.5" long. Never know what is gona grab it in that pond. Bass, panfish & Crappie will make runs on it there but that is a pond for you.

MOST medium-large ponds need at least 500lbs. + of bass harvested from them each year. Otherwise the all too common small bass syndrome starts to prevail. I make it a point to kill bass in a pond with large numbers of small bass. This truly helps the population. Additionally, NOT stocking crappie in a bass pond will increase the size dramatically. While I don't like people killing bass in Table Rock, in ponds harvest is truly needed to maintain a healthly population of large bass. Angler At Law

Fishmeister Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 For bass early spring before the moss gets going, shallow crankbait, like a Mann's minus 1. Once the vegatation gets going, spinnerbait or plastic worm. For topwater, a frog colored devils horse, buzzbaits, and zara spooks are all a blast!
